Andrea Nguyen, I LOVE your posts. They are so real and honestly friendly - and inspiring. Thank you always. And now I am going to pre-order your book! If I were signing your yearbook, I would say ‘Never change!’ 😊
Erica -- thank you. Writing these PTFS dispatches is like writing to friends. If I were signing your yearbook, I'd draw a gigantic heart to show my appreciation and warmth. You made my day/night!
I’m enjoying PTFS already! Am I able to share pix here? I also made the TJ squiggly noodles (they remind me of A-Sha, another air-dried brand), and added: boy choy, pickled radish, boiled egg, and crumbled bacon.
Hi Emily -- of course! Go ahead and share the pix. They do remind me of A-Sha noodles. Nice additions! Thanks for making the noodles and spreading the word!
Vietnamese Food Any Day is one of my favorite cookbooks. Every recipe I try has landed in steady rotation. I am not Asian and was always intimidated to try recipes until Andreas books. I can’t wait for the Evergreen book. I am trying to eat more Vegan/vegetarian for health and sustainability. Thanks for something I enjoy so much!
Oh my goodness, Jane. Thank you for the VFAD feedback. I'm incredibly thrilled -- blushing -- knowing that you use the book so well. It's an author's dream come true.
Woohoo that Ever-Green Vietnamese will be part of your kitchen adventures this year!
Marilyn! Thank you all around for your enthusiastic support. Hoooooray and yay for your pre-order. The best part of my work is seeing how others use my books and recipes. You kicked off my week splendidly and I thank you.

I absolutely love this newsletter. You just made Monday morning palatable. I'm pre-ordering your next book now.

We are so very lucky to be able to buy live Dungeness crabs here in Santa Cruz, the best tasting crabs ever IMO.
The link to the Banh Nam article didn't work for me, but I found it at:

Hi Tom,
Aarrgggh. I tested it before sending. BUT, thanks for providing the correct link for everyone. I'll fix it in the newsletter.
