Congrats on EVG 1 year birthday! What a bonus of such a delightful book helping you through a challenging time.

I listened to your podcast with Sizemore twice! Once in segments (running errands) and the second time all at once (doing yard work).

You just blew my mind with all of the tofu info! 🤯 I’ve certainly noticed more customers asking about tofu lately, and I love it when I have the time to talk to them about it.

Thanks for championing EGV and moreover, cooking from it!

You listened x2 to my conversation with Nicki? I'm honored. We talked fast.

I have a lot of bean curd stuffed into my brain! And, I'm thrilled that TJ customers are asking about it. Their curiosity fuels more tasty tofu. Hooooooray!

I don’t know why it thrills me to know my food heroes all seem to know each other! Andrea you always go the extra mile, above and beyond. You are truly wonderful.

🙏 I am off to Trader Joe’s for tofu☺️(btw, I took a screenshot of that handy chart. Great idea!)

I'm pleased My Chinese food Goddess, Fuchsia Dunlop, approves of Taifun smoked tofu, since it is my favourite smoked tofu - and you can buy it online!

I was hoping Fuchsia's recommendation was relevant to your tofu life in Europe. Yay!

Jan Thie

just now

It was - though for once I had already tried it. I saw it many years ago for the first time in some health food store in Holland.

I didn't really like the 'fun' name but you have to try new things, or you never learn anything new either. I'm glad I did. It's seriously good.

This having the FD stamp of approval only makes it more special for me.

(You can buy it with all kinds of add-on tastes but to me plain is best here.)

I'm with you. It's good to add flavors to an ingredient. You can make it taste like you want it to. That said, sometimes, food manufacturers can surprise. I'm always up for trying something new.

Oh, I never know if you see Insta posts that you are added in to, but I made more tofu today, most for frying but I used about a third to make that divine cream you did a recipe for in Asian Tofu.

For dinner I had an Indian soup, with a good dollop of the tofu cream added to the bowl. It truly was divine.

I get pinged on some of them but for some reason not all of them? It's a mystery, Jan. Let me check. You make good, creative use of Asian Tofu's recipes. The cream is wonderful in for dairy-free, creamy needs. I'm not vegan but can't eat a ton of dairy at a time.

Thank you!

I eat quite a lot of dairy but this cream is so good that I just want to have it from time to time.

That's so great to know. Being an equal opportunity eater and cook is where it's at.

Thank you for the validation on tofu container weights. Been a pet peeve of mine for years.

Ha! I should have asked the Pulmuone exec about it when I interviewed him but I had bigger bean curd questions.
