Fellow bean and tofu lover here.

I’m quite curious about your smashed bean burgers and also making a bean veggie burger out of refried.

Do you share more details about those recipes or methods elsewhere?

Thanks for the tip that Staff of Life has Rancho Gordo beens. I have been ordering them online. I know that they have them at El Salchichero and at the kitchen shop in downtown Santa Cruz but Staff of Life is much more convenient for me. I love their beans.

SOL does not carry Rancho Gordo beans. That would be great but not what I wrote. You should as Staff to carry the beans!!!

At Staff, I purchase the big Italian butter beans grown by Iacopi Farm sin Half Moon Bay. They are pricey but deliciously local. I head to Staff for adzukis, too. If you're ever in Napa, go to the wondrous RG store.
