October 2024 Update: Online classes are over. They were so successful that there will be more in 2025. Review this post for what to expect in the future! Thanks for enthusiastically support!
Hello everybody!
YIPPEEEEE! Classes are now open for registration! What took me a while was figuring out the Eventbrite platform plus designing menus that would be appropriate for your 2024 cooking lifestyle and needs.
Some of you are vegetarian or vegans. Many of you are omnivores. All of you are curious cooks wanting to learn and have fun.
Without further ado, here is my new endeavor!
When, where, and how
The general low-down on how the classes will run:
Day and time: Sundays, 2-4pm PST, so you can make something for dinner or for the week ahead. It's also (hopefully) an unhurried time for you.
Class length: 2 hours, including Q&A
Online platform: Zoom, with a playback recording for all registrants
Ingredients: Most ingredients are available at supermarkets. Asian market shopping is sometimes required. You will get pointers, such as brand suggestions, in class materials.
Equipment: Basic home kitchen equipment. Nothing fancy or exotic is required. If thereβs something special, it will be flagged in the class materials.
Class materials: After registering, youβll get a confirmation email with a link to a downloadable PDF of class materials which contain all recipes, Zoom link, plus lists and pointers (groceries, equipment, and prep).
Zoom class link: The day of class, you will get an email reminder with the link again.
Cost: Each class is $40.
Refund-ability: Unfortunately, class registrations are not refundable. Student attendees receive the detailed class materials, livestream class, plus access to the recorded playback. If you cannot attend the scheduled livestream, you will have the materials and recording to watch. Whether or not you attend the livestream, you can email me follow-up questions. Β Β

Hi Andrea, I would love to have more dumpling cooking classes in 2025! I just got a copy of your dumpling cookbook and Iβm anxious to get my feet wet. I really want to be able to make wontons in a spicy sauce, Γ la Din Tai Fung, but am nervous about making thin sheets of dough.
Did my shopping for Sundayβs class! Went to Lion Market in San Jose and ended up getting a lot more than just for the class. For some reason I couldnβt find coconut cream in cans, but I found it in the frozen section. I imagine itβs the same thing. Looking forward to it, Andrea!
